BEFORE YOUR SESSION
For in-office appointments: please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment start time. Your appointment begins at the scheduled start time, so arriving a few minutes early will allow time for you to get checked in, use the bathroom, and take a few moments to rest before your intake.
For mobile appointments: your therapist will arrive at the scheduled time at your predesignated location and set up your space for the session. Please have a space prepared where your therapist has room to set up a table and can ensure as much privacy and quiet as possible to maximize the impact of your session.
For all appointments: please remember to turn your phone to silent before your session begins. We also encourage you to share any questions, concerns, goals, or preferences with your therapist during your intake process before your session begins.
DURING YOUR SESSION
Your massage session starts when you and the therapist enter the “treatment room.” Your therapist will ask you a few questions to learn more about your goals, needs, and preferences for the session, as well as any relevant medical history. Once you have agreed upon a treatment plan, your therapist will give you instructions to get ready for the massage session and will leave the room to wash her hands.
Your comfort and sense of safety are essential, and while your therapist will use draping, techniques, and communication to ensure your comfort and safety, you are encouraged to communicate with your therapist if you prefer more/less pressure, modified draping, a temperature change, or any other modification to better enjoy your session.
When your session comes to a close, your therapist will leave the room to wash her hands, at which time you are invited to get dressed and wait for the therapist to return.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
After your session, your therapist will share with you what she found and focused on throughout the session.
We encourage you to drink lots of water after your session and to follow up on any stretches or other exercises your therapist recommends.
Depending on the treatment plan you and your therapist discuss after the session, you may want to book a follow up appointment to continue making progress on your goals.
